About Breastfeeding Community of Practice

The resources listed below are presented based on recommendations from the Breastfeeding Community of Practice.

The Breastfeeding Community of Practice is a volunteer network of individuals who support breastfeeding in Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia. The Community of Practice connects with individuals, communities and organizations that are interested in creating a breastfeeding-friendly culture in Nova Scotia and providing the support to help make it happen.

Centre for Breastfeeding Education - Lactation Medicine Program
CBE's Lactation Medicine Programme has been approved by the Accreditation and Approval Review Committee (AARC) on Education in Human Lactation and Breastfeeding. NBCI is also a long-term provider with IBLCE for Continuing Education Recognition Points (CERPs). For more information about AARC, please visit their website.
