Cochrane Clinical Answers helps you make point-of-care decisions by providing evidence-based answers to hundreds of clinical questions. Each short, easy-to-digest answer is accompanied by high-quality supporting evidence from the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (CDSR). New clinical questions are added weekly and existing answers are updated to reflect new evidence.

For example, let’s say you want to know if bisphosphonates are effective in treating Paget’s disease of bone. First, go to the Cochrane Library site. Click the drop-down arrow next to Clinical Answers on the purple menu ribbon and then click on Browse Clinical Answers.

Enter the search terms, “Paget’s” and “bisphosphonates” in the search box in the upper, right-hand corner of the page and click the icon. The results page will include relevant results from each of the Cochrane Library databases and collections. To see the Clinical Answers results, click on the Clinical Answers tab (1) then click on a clinical question to view the answer (2).

Each clinical answer includes outcome data from the original clinical trials and other supplementary information. Visit Anatomy of a Cochrane Clinical Answer for a full description.
