About Program

The Nova Scotia Health Safe Patient Handling and Mobility Program is being implemented to improve safety for patients and employees. Safe patient handling and mobility involves assessing patients’ mobility needs and using the appropriate equipment to mitigate the risk with the handling or mobility activity.
