Status of Library Services

All NSHA Library Services locations are closed while staff are working from home. We look forward to seeing you on site again!

Throughout this situation, the safety and well-being of our employees, clients, patients and the community continues to be our number one priority.

Borrowing & Purchasing

  • All locations and book drops are closed. We ask that you do not return items at this time or leave them outside our locations. Keep them with you and you can return them when we reopen.
  • All loan periods for physical items (books, journals, etc.) have been extended indefinitely. Borrowers will have three weeks after the Library reopens to return physical items currently on loan.
  • No late fees will be accrued for the duration of this closure, or the three weeks after the Library reopens.
  • Suggestions for purchase and departmental purchasing are paused during closure. For urgent needs please contact AskLibrary@nshealth.ca.

  • Room bookings are suspended until physical locations reopen.
