Library Services staff are essential team members behind the COVID-19 Hub. To meet the increase in demand on the COVID-19 Hub and the sustainability of the Hub's team, effective Friday, April 30th, Library staff are working remotely until further notice. Library sites at Aberdeen Hospital, Dickson Building, and Halifax Infirmary continue to be open to physicians and staff. We have also resumed staff ability to book and access the computer lab within the Library site at Nova Scotia Hospital Hugh Bell Service Centre. We look forward to seeing you again on site in the future!
Services such as literature searches, research/information inquiries, and document delivery (articles only) will continue to be available remotely, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. All online Library resources are available 24/7.
All book drops are closed. We ask that you do not return items at this time or leave them outside our locations. All loan periods for physical items (books, journals, etc.) have been extended. No late fees will be accrued for the duration of this closure, or for three weeks after the Library reopens.
The safety and well-being of our employees, clients, patients and the community continue to be our number one priority. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at AskLibrary@nshealth.ca
