The Atlantic Health Libraries Association provides a forum for health library specialists in the Atlantic Provinces and those interested in the field, by enabling networking with colleagues and keeping members up-to-date with the changes in health sciences libraries, librarianship, and health care.
Become involved in AHLA/ABSA and acquire the information and skills needed to stay on top of the fast moving field of medical librarianship. Many of the AHLA/ABSA members meet regularly in journal clubs to generate discussion on readings from the latest literature and provide free reciprocal resource sharing among members.
Take an active part in AHLA/ABSA by becoming a member of one of the organization’s committees or working groups.
Tap into the most valuable medical professional resources in the Atlantic Provinces - your peer librarians. Gather and exchange information with other Maritime health science librarians via the AHLA/ABSA listserv and co-operate with other health library networks and associations etc. to promote efficient delivery of services.
Attend AHLA/ABSA chapter meetings to participate in an exciting array of discussions.
