Our Services

Depending on the clinical area, the health care professionals involved and current evidence, our support services may result in one or more of the following:

• Collaborative Authorship
  • It may be necessary to work together across organizational departments, networks, teams or units to see the impact of evidence-based procedural guidance. In these cases, or where organizational needs require, we may work with you to develop a policy document or learning module for the organization.
• Adoption & Annotation
  • We subscribe to Dynamic Health, a collection of evidence-based skills for nursing and allied health to consult and annotate. Dynamic Health content can be customized to align with practice at Nova Scotia Health through the addition of Workplace Notes and custom Workplace Skills. Dynamic Health skills, suites of skills and custom skills can be connected to policy documents, providing both procedures and competency checklists.
  • We can also support searching within the resources Nova Scotia Health's Library Services currently subscribes to, as well as trusted, evidence-based organizations online, to identify procedures that may be available to reuse or adapt depending on the copyright owner's terms and conditions.
• Publication & Indexing
  • We work to bring together suites of evidence-based procedures and competencies through our Clinical Practice Support subject guides, organized by Profession and Clinical Topic. For more complex clinical topics or roles, a Clinical Practice Support guide may bring together relevant Dynamic Health Skills, other subscription resources and customized content. We make sure these guides are findable across public-facing access points and NS Health's The Compass.
• Education & Engagement
  • We are available for education sessions about our editorial processes and services, either by request or as part of scheduled events. We also support you by sharing, through organizational memos, updates and announcements, the resources we create and adopt together.
