Equity, Culture and Language: Caring for Acadians and Francophone Nova Scotians

Continuing Care undertook a project to better understand how to improve the quality of care, experience, and access to home care and community services for Acadians and Francophones in Nova Scotia. This initiative involved consultations and surveys of client and caregiver experiences with home care across Nova Scotia, with a particular focus on the Acadian and Francophone communities.

As a result of this initiative, more bilingual resources are now available online on the Continuing Care website (English / French).

In addition, new online education is now available to enhance the ability, comfort, and confidence of Continuing Care and home care agency employees in delivering Continuing Care services to Nova Scotia's Acadian and Francophone communities.
