About the Drug Evaluation Unit

The Drug Evaluation Unit (DEU) is part of the Nova Scotia Health Central Zone Pharmacy Department. The Drug Evaluation Alliance of Nova Scotia (DEANS) supports the DEU.

The DEU provides drug evaluation support to the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness and affiliated organizations, including the Atlantic Common Drug Review, the Atlantic Provincial Drug Plans, and the Dalhousie Professional Development and Medical Education Academic Detailing Service (ADS).

Drug Evaluation Alliance of Nova Scotia (DEANS)

The mission of Drug Evaluation Alliance of Nova Scotia (DEANS) is to contribute to the health of Nova Scotians by encouraging appropriate drug use. DEANS is funded through the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness.
