My COVID Recovery

Information and resources to help Nova Scotians understand and manage their health after having COVID-19.

When will I feel better?

Recovering from COVID-19 is different for everyone. How long it takes you to recover is not related to whether you were in the hospital or how bad your infection was.

Most people diagnosed with COVID-19 notice a big improvement in their symptoms within 14 days (2 weeks), but recovery can last from days to months. 30 to 50% of people may have symptoms for longer than 12 weeks (3 months).

We do not know how long COVID-19 symptoms will last. Research is still being done. You can expect your recovery to happen slowly over time.
